Kubota Refuels an Old Partnership with Crayola to Teach Children the Value of Teamwork

You probably never thought that car parts and crayons could teach you about teamwork. But Kubota and Crayola are making it happen by pairing together for another year to teach kids how to work together and make a difference in their community.

Starting in late May 2023, an interactive NASCAR-inspired tour event called “Raceway Makeover by Kubota” will be open to the public!

Let’s talk about what kids can do during the event and what the partnership’s aim is for these two companies.

Online Events for Kids – and In-Person Events for the Public

The event’s main features include at-home crafts and coloring pages from Crayola, classroom activities and educational content for young students, and an interactive tour of Crayola’s family attractions modified with Kubota equipment to be racing-themed.

To kick off the tour, grand openings events featuring live pit crew demonstrations from Kubota’s NASCAR partner Trackhouse Racing will be free to the public. Kids attending can be part of tire-changing relays, gas refill speed tests, and tire obstacle courses.

Later in the tour, children can race Kubota toy cars customized with Crayola accessories, take photos with kid-sized Kubota-branded race cars and trucks, and participate in simulator games at Crayola family attractions around the states.

But when can you go, and how long will the tour last?

Tour Dates and Locations

The tour includes four specific Crayola Experience locations: Orlando, Florida, Chandler, Arizona, Easton, Pennsylvania, and Plano, Texas.

Most of the tour takes place in the summer – May 25th to June 18th in Florida, June 29th to July 30th in Arizona, and August 10th to September 5th in Pennsylvania. After a break, the tour picks up again in Texas on November 14th and doesn’t end until January 2nd, 2024.

Events are time-limited, so plan ahead if you don’t want to miss anything!

As for the reason behind the event, spokespeople from Kubota and Crayola have much to say about how they think this event will impact children and improve communities.

Here’s What Kubota and Crayola Spokespeople Have to Say About the Upcoming Event

The event aims to teach kids about innovation and teamwork through group events and educational games.

Warren Schorr, Senior VP of Business Development, Global Licensing, and Experiences at Crayola, said this partnership can “showcase real-life applications of how imagination and creativity are at the core of everything we do as kids and adults…what an amazing opportunity to help them [kids] learn how creativity and equipment are used to design and build the world around us.”

Keeping it short and sweet, Todd Stucke – Senior VP of Marketing for Kubota Tractor Corporation – said, “Partnering with Crayola brings to life our iconic orange equipment in new ways and with it the chance for kids to get creative and see what’s possible when we work together.”

So if you know a kid – or are a kid at heart yourself – who could use a little more knowledge and a lot more fun, keep the tour dates in mind for Kubota and Crayola’s big summer racing event starting this month!
