Everything You Need to Know About the All-New Buick Envista

Buick is introducing one last gas-powered model to their lineup before they start making the transition to an all-electric lineup. By 2030, they will offer only electric-powered vehicles in the United States. But, before we get there, we have the new Envista that will soon hit your local Buick dealership. Here is everything you’ll need to know about this new crossover.

A Replacement for the Encore

Buick discontinued production of the Encore after the 2022 model year, but it’s not the end of their entries into the compact SUV market. The Envista is their new vision. It is slightly larger than the Encore and built on an entirely different platform. It’s 11 inches longer than the Encore GX and has a wheelbase that’s four inches longer. It’s also different from the Encore GX in that it comes only with front-wheel drive and has a sleeker coupe-style crossover body.

So How’s The Power?

Power for the Envista comes from a 1.2-liter three-cylinder gas engine that develops 136 horsepower and gets 162 pound-feet of torque. It works with a six-speed automatic transmission. If you’re looking for a fuel-efficient commuter, the Envista is expected to get about 30 mpg combined.
This new Buick will come only with front-wheel drive, just like its cousin, the Chevy Trax, but the Watts Link rear suspension will come with the high-end Avenir model for those who like to feel extra secure on the road and enjoy an even quieter ride than you’ll get with the rest of the lineup.

A Tech-Forward Cabin

When drivers take a seat in the Envista, they will find an 11-inch touchscreen for the infotainment system and an 8-inch digital gauge cluster. The infotainment system has an advanced user interface with multimedia options and enhanced voice recognition to make using the tech more intuitive. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto will come standard, and connecting to friends and family will be a breeze with the standard Wi-Fi hotspot. Need directions? The in-dash navigation will get you there turn-by-turn.
Other cabin details depending on the trim level, include fabric or leatherette-covered seats, available heated seats, and a heated steering wheel.

All the Safety Features You Need

No matter where you’re headed, the Envista will have your back with the standard Buick Driver Confidence Package. It comes with all the latest safety features, including automatic emergency braking to help keep you from colliding with a vehicle in front of you and lane keep assist with lane departure warning. These systems work together to make sure you don’t drift out of your lane. The standard automatic high-beam headlights know just when you need more light and when an oncoming vehicle needs you to switch to low beams.
