Tech for Less

No matter what car you choose to drive anymore you want to have some cool features.  Whether it’s as simple as having power windows and mirrors or as advanced as some of the nearly autonomous features on vehicles we have now, the more tech you have the more you can brag.  Even though horsepower still reigns as the king of bragging rights among most “car guys” tech is more powerful to the younger tech-savvy generations and is certainly important.  Here are ten vehicles that are full of great tech that all come in under $20,000, making them great cars for the young professionals as they start out in life.

Dodge DartThe Dodge Dart benefits from the Uconnect system which is one of the most advanced and intuitive infotainment systems on the market today.  The one in the Dart uses an 8.4-inch touchscreen which is the largest in any compact car.  The Dart starts at $16,076 for your enjoyment.

Toyota CorollaThe Corolla has always been one of our favorite cars and this one has the Entune infotainment system which offers a bevy of mobile apps, Bluetooth , navigation, HD weather and traffic, and easy ways to access other apps.  Starting at $15,942 the Corolla is still one great value in a car.

Kia ForteThe Forte offers LED accent lights, LED taillights, a heated steering wheel, a heated and ventilated driver’s seat and the UVO connectivity system.  As you can see the Forte offers more than just a great infotainment system and comes in at a phenomenal starting price which is only $15,625.

Subaru ImprezaStandard AWD, a rearview camera, the EyeSight driver assist technology which offers adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning and pre-collision braking along with the availability of four different multimedia systems make it easy to see how this car made it on this list at a $17,913 base.

Nissan Versa NoteThis cool little hatchback brings in some tech including the Around View Monitor, hands free texting, Bluetooth connectivity, Pandora and a great infotainment system.  You might not think you would find all this in the Note, but it’s there and with a starting price of $13,776 you will smile.

Jeep RenegadeThe smallest Jeep offers great tech with a 7-inch driver information display, a digital speedometer, Rear Parking Assistance, Uconnect, and the ability to be a Wi-Fi hotspot.  With off road capabilities and this entire tech you can stay connected at $18,253 and not have to worry.

Chevrolet TraxThe small Chevrolet SUV shoes up with built-in 4G LTE Wi-Fi that can handle up to seven devices, a rearview camera, the Chevy MyLink infotainment system, Siri Eyes Free and much more.  At the price of $20,039 it’s just over our mark of $20,00 but the Trax is certainly worth a mention.

Honda FitThe Fit is a small hatchback full of great gear including the blind spot camera, a multi-angle backup camera, a five-inch color LCD screen, and HondaLink.  The Fit has a flexible seat in the rear which isn’t tech, but it’s cool and all this can be yours at a starting price of $15,656 which is an awesome deal.

Mazda 3 This stylish car also has a lot of tech.  It has a full suite of multimedia features, an infotainment controller in the center console, a head up display and much more.  this engaged and tech filled ride starts out at only $16,613 to give you a great looking car full of all the gadgets you could ask for.

In a world where tech is starting to rein king all these vehicles have some great tech even at the base price and all for under $20,000 (except the Trax that broke the rule by $39).  Of course loading them up will reach you over that mark, but when you start at a low price like this, the added tech won’t cost you too much more and you will find you get an even better vehicle at a still great value.  Load them up and have a great time.
