While we await the arrival of the Audi 2016 models that will be starting to appear in the summer and fall of this year, along with the fact the 2015 lineups have not even been fully competed yet, a look into the 2016 model year reveals several new models that will take our breath away and offer a lot of fun for driving enthusiasts. The Audi Q7 is one such vehicle that immediately boasts about the 700 pounds it lost like a person who has reached the end of their weight loss journey.

The weight loss is seriously important because it adds to the fuel economy which is increased by 26 percent. the car is a bit smaller on the outside than the outgoing model. Even with a bit of smaller size the Q7 still handles seven passengers with ease and comfort, making this a premier luxury crossover SUV that gives more passenger space and cargo volume than ever before. The powertrains offered include an e-tron Quattro which matches plug-in technology with a diesel engine along with a host of new driver assists to enjoy. Taking a note from the Ford F-150, Audi saw the use aluminum has in building the structure of a vehicle and used it in 41 percent of the body parts to help with the weight loss. This change actually gives the vehicle a stronger but lighter core to make the Q7 a great new vehicle. The ride comfort is highly improved as well with the new responsive adaptive air suspension and four-wheel steering which turns the rear wheels up to five degrees to help with the agility in corners and reducing the turning circuit by a little over three feet.

The powertrain offered to start with will be a 3.0-liter 268 horsepower turbodiesel V6 and a 3.0-liter 329 horsepower TFSI supercharged gasoline V6 engine. These two awesome engines will be attached to an eight-speed Tiptronic automatic that has the new Quattro self-locking center differential. This new system is lighter and more compact than previous models and gives the vehicle the ability to transfer seventy percent of the torque to the front axle or 85 percent to the rear as needed. The e-tron has not yet been approved for the US market, but should be soon.

With a lighter weight and a great pair of new engines the Q7 shows up starting off its new generation in a great way, giving shoppers a choice that allows them the right vehicle with a much better performance than ever before. The new styling is amazing as well giving the new Q7 a great look that will entice many who are looking for a luxury crossover SUV to drive. Expect to see this amazing new model to be present on Audi dealerships in the late fall to excite and entice a crowd who has been clamoring for a great new Q7 to show itself.
