What makes the XE a great car to drive? The balance of a small car with the sophisticated feeling of the Jaguar brand makes for a fantastic vehicle for you to drive. This little Jag stands out even in its own lineup with new style and admirable driving dynamics that will make you squeal with glee every time you take a curve or push the gas for the ride you’ve been looking for but haven’t found until now.
The power for the fun of this new XE comes in three forms, all of which are mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. The base engine is a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline four-cylinder engine that produces 240 horsepower and 251 lb.-ft. of torque. This powertrain is good for 21 city/30 hwy and is only offered in RWD setup. Next up there is a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline four-cylinder diesel engine which brings in 180 horsepower and 318 lb.-ft. of torque. At the top of the chart there is a 3.0-liter supercharged V6 which offers up 340 horsepower and 332 lb.-ft. of torque. With this engine you’ll enjoy 21 city/30 hwy mpg in the RWD model and 20 city/29 hwy mpg in the AWD versions.

The XE doesn’t disappoint as it offers you Luxtec faux leather in one of three colors, dual zone climate controls, rear passenger vents, 17-inch alloy wheels, a moonroof, the Jaguar InControl eight-inch touchscreen display, a six-speaker audio system, HD Radio, USB ports and Bluetooth connectivity. Moving up to the Premium model you add a folding rear seat, auto dimming and folding side mirrors, an 11-speaker Meridian audio system and a HomeLink garage door opener. You also receive five years/60,000 miles of complimentary maintenance/roadside assistance on all models.
Looking to the options you will find the Prestige trim with adds a navigation system, a leather interior with heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, keyless entry and a power adjustable steering column. For a sportier feel the XE offers an R-Sport trim which adds a host of great safety features such as blind spot monitoring, front and rear parking assists, autonomous emergency braking and lane departure warning. Other additional features that can be added include cooled front seats, a power operated trunk, a power rear sunshade, a CD/DVD player, a Wi-Fi 3G hotspot and parking assistance.
The inside of the new XE is large enough for four to fit comfortably and five to sit when required.
