As America gears up to celebrate 250 years since the signing of the Declaration of Independence, Chevrolet is rolling out a limited-edition tribute that combines patriotic design with some of the brand’s most popular vehicles. The new Stars & Steel Collection celebrates this moment in history with five specially designed models, each assembled in the United States and featuring design elements inspired by the American flag. Available starting spring 2026, these vehicles offer buyers a chance to own a piece of automotive history while supporting veterans through charitable contributions.
- The Stars & Steel Collection includes five models: Corvette, Silverado EV, Silverado Light Duty, Silverado Heavy Duty, and Colorado, all featuring American flag-inspired graphics and “250” commemorative badges.
- The Corvette Stars & Steel Limited Edition is the most exclusive, restricted to just 250 units across all variants from Stingray to ZR1X, making it an instant collector’s item.
- Chevrolet will donate $250 to veteran support nonprofits for every Stars & Steel vehicle sold, plus a one-of-one Corvette ZR1X will be auctioned for charity in January 2026.
Why This Anniversary Matters to Chevrolet
Chevrolet has been part of the American landscape for the past 114 years, making it the perfect brand to celebrate the nation’s semiquincentennial. Almost 87% of Americans live within 10 miles of a Chevrolet dealership, which means the brand has become woven into communities from coast to coast. Whether you’re shopping at Cincinnati Chevy dealers or browsing inventory in small-town Montana, the bowtie badge has become part of American life.
Scott Bell, vice president of Global Chevrolet, summed it up: “The Stars & Steel Collection celebrates a key milestone for the country that not only served as the birthplace of our brand but has also been its home for nearly 115 years.”
The timing mirrors Chevrolet’s “Spirit of America” campaign from 1974, which celebrated the nation’s bicentennial. Now, 50 years later, the brand is back with another patriotic tribute that feels appropriate for 2026.
The Most Exclusive: Limited-Production Corvettes
The Corvette iteration will be the most exclusive, capped at just 250 units globally, with each bearing a sequential build plaque. Available across the entire Corvette range from the Stingray through the high-performance ZR1X, buyers can order either coupe or convertible body styles, though the package is limited to 3LT and 3LZ trims.
This run includes two striking specifications: Arctic White with a Santorini Blue interior or Black with an Adrenaline Red interior. The design includes full-length American flag-inspired stripes in Satin Silver or Satin Black, plus “250” graphics on the doors and spoiler ends.
The ‘Vettes will get red calipers, red seat belts, red stitching on the floor mats and, on some versions, a red engine cover, as well as a numbered plaque on the dash. These details create a cohesive patriotic theme without going overboard on the red, white, and blue.
Stars & Steel Truck Lineup
While the Corvette steals headlines, the truck lineup is where most buyers will actually find themselves shopping. The collection includes special editions across Chevrolet’s work truck range, each carefully selected because it’s assembled in the United States.
The Silverado EV Stars & Steel Special Edition comes on the RST Crew Cab trim with Summit White or Black exterior colors. The Silverado EV will have high-gloss black wheels, a new heavy-duty brake system with red piston calipers, and black nameplates. The electric pickup brings modern capability to the anniversary celebration, already offering 494 miles of driving range and can tow up to 12,500 pounds.
For traditional gas and diesel buyers, the Silverado Light Duty pairs its 6.2-liter engine with the RST Crew Cab Short Box 4WD configuration. The Silverado HD takes things up a notch with the 6.6-liter Duramax diesel in the LTZ Crew Cab Trail Boss 4WD trim, loaded with towing and off-road gear.
The Colorado will offer its Stars & Steel package on the Trail Boss Crew Cab trim, and since the Colorado Trail Boss is a fairly stripped-down model, the Stars & Steel version will include a host of comfort and convenience options as well as blacked-out badging.
All trucks feature the same American flag-inspired stripes and “250” graphics that tie the collection together. Each comes with either Summit White or Black paint and black interiors, creating a bold, modern look.
Supporting Veterans Through Vehicle Sales
Chevrolet adds a charitable component to this collection. For every Stars & Steel vehicle sold, Chevrolet will donate $250 to nonprofits that support the veteran community. This charitable giving covers all five models in the collection.
The giving program hits its high point with a special auction vehicle. A “one of one” 2026 Corvette ZR1X with Stars and Steel inspired design will be auctioned at the Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale Winter Auction on Saturday, Jan. 24, 2026, with 100% of the hammer price supporting the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
Tunnel to Towers provides mortgage-free homes for fallen first responders and injured veterans along with financial assistance for their families. By tying this collection to veteran support organizations, Chevrolet connects the anniversary celebration to Americans who’ve served.
When You Can Buy One
Chevrolet debuted the Stars & Steel lineup at the Army-Navy football game on December 13, though you won’t see them in showrooms immediately. Production is expected to begin in early spring 2026, with package pricing to be announced at a later date.
Chevrolet will also offer Stars & Steel appearance packages for buyers who want the patriotic theme without committing to a fully loaded special edition. These packages provide American flag striping and “250” graphics at a more accessible price point.
With America’s 250th birthday arriving July 4, 2026, the timing gives buyers several months to order and take delivery of these commemorative vehicles. Given the limited production run on the Corvette and the special nature of the entire collection, these vehicles will likely appreciate over time, making them attractive to collectors and enthusiasts alike.
The Stars & Steel Collection shows Chevrolet celebrating American manufacturing, heritage, and 250 years as a nation. Whether you’re drawn to the exclusive Corvette or need a work truck with patriotic flair, this collection delivers options across the lineup.
