2023 Range Rover Sport Gets a Huge Facelift

Going into 2023, the new Range Rover Sport brings a host of upgrades, including sleeker bodywork and a three-inch-longer wheelbase.

The Range Rover Sport is the most popular Land Rover vehicle sold in the United States, it’s not surprising that it’s the model with an incredible number of upgrades for the next model year. This impressive luxury SUV brings four trim levels, AWD, and an eight-speed automatic transmission. Could this be the year you choose to grab one of these models for your daily drive? Let’s check out some of the changes.

Three of the Four Models Includes Hybrid Elements

The various models of this Land Rover SUV give you some form of hybridization in three of the four trims. The Se and SE Dynamic models share a turbocharged 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder engine that has a 48-volt hybrid system. The P360 offers 355 horsepower, while the P400 has 395 ponies. Moving up to the P440e powertrain, a plug-in hybrid setup gives you 434 horsepower using the 31.8-kWh battery and up to 48 miles of electric-only driving.
If you want the most powerful engine, you won’t have any hybrid driving. This top engine in the P530 gives you a 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine that delivers 523 horsepower. This top model gives you a sprint to 60 mph that only takes 4.3 seconds: pretty darn good for a luxury SUV.

Improved Styling Found in the Range Rover Sport

For 2023, this Range Rover offers you and SUV that is much more dapper than the outgoing model. This new model year ushers in the next generation of driving from the Land Rover brand. This new model has shorter overhangs in the front and while the rear has longer overhangs. The front-end height is raised compared to the previous model, giving you the stance you want.

This new model has slimmer headlights, smaller grille openings, and smoother surfaces with flush-mounted door handles. Around back you’ll see a more contemporary appearance with wide lighting elements to give you the signature appearance you desire. If you want some big shoes on this SUV, you can opt for larger 23-inch wheels which are an upgrade over the standard 21-inch wheels for this SUV.

When you choose the Dynamic trim, you’ll have unique bumpers along with graphite and copper-colored exterior elements to give you the overall appearance you want to enjoy.

A Great Ride Awaits You in this Land Rover

The new platform used for this SUV is 35 percent stiffer than before, and the wheelbase is three inches longer. This translates to a smoother ride and more room in the cabin. You’ll find more rear-seat legroom and a new style with upgraded materials and features. If you sit up front in this SUV, you’ll have 22-way power seats with heat and ventilation to give you the feeling you want. Of course, if you want a massage, these seats offer this function as well.

Check Out the New Tech

In front of the driver, you’ll find a 13.7-inch digital gauge cluster. To the right of this screen is the 13.1-inch curved infotainment touchscreen that brings over-the-air updates and Amazon Alexa. You can charge your smartphone using the wireless charging pad and will enjoy the connectivity of Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. At the top of the tech list, you’ll find a Meridian premium sound system that offers 29 speakers and 1,430 watts of sound power for your listening pleasure.

Driving Right With Some Impressive Features

Every version of the Range Rover Sport comes with a long list of driver-assist features. This package of safety items includes a 360-degree camera system, front and rear parking sensors, and lane-keeping assist. If you want a smoother drive, the top-tier First Edition model offers an air suspension and a set of electronically controlled anti-roll bars.

A Tighter Turning Radius than Expected

The Range Rover Sport is not a small SUV. It is smaller than the full-size Range Rover, but not by much. Land Rover gives this SUV something to create a much tighter turning radius than you might expect in a large SUV. This system is the rear-axle steering which turns the rear wheels up to 7.3 degrees. Additionally, the adaptive off-road cruise control makes the Sport much easier to control on the trails or any other uneven terrain. This feature automatically adjusts the speed of the vehicle to handle the drive when you’re out for a drive away from the paved roads.

If You Don’t Want to Wait

If you’re looking for one of these Land Rover SUVs right now and don’t want to wait for the 2023 model, you’ll look at the current 2022 version. This SUV gives you the on-road presence and off-road capabilities that makes this SUV a lot of fun for you to have the drive you want on the roads and trails.

The current version of this SUV offers you the benefits of Activity Key to give you an easy way to keep your keys in the vehicle but access it another way. If you’re an adventure enthusiast, one of the most frustrating things you have to do is keep track of your keys while away from your vehicle. When you’re surfing, kayaking, or hiking, the Activity Key looks like a fitness tracker, and it’s worn on the wrist. This means you can keep your regular keys in the vehicle while you’re having a lot of fun.

Set your vehicle up for the terrain you’re facing. The Terrain Response System allows you to set the vehicle for the different surfaces you’ll drive on, including snow, sand, and mud. A simple turn of the dial, and you’re ready to tackle the wilderness and have some fun out on the trails.
