We’ll See More of these Early FCA Reveals

Before they make their debut in public at the 2019 Chicago Auto Show, the team at FCA gave us a look at a pair of special edition minivans.

After 35 years in the minivan market, the FCA team will give us something interesting with new items to admire. The first models from this team so long ago were the Dodge Caravan and Plymouth Voyager, for the 2019 Chicago Auto Show, these two models will be the Chrysler Pacifica and Dodge Grand Caravan.

The Anniversary Celebration for FCA

We will see the 2019 Chrysler Pacifica, Pacifica Hybrid, and Dodge Grand Caravan models as the 35thAnniversary Edition models when this show opens up. These models will all show off with special badging and paint to let us know they are the celebratory models. Since the first minivan models arrived in 1984, Chrysler has sold more than 14.6 minivans around the world. This is certainly a company that continues to put emphasis on this part of the market to give us the family haulers we want to drive.

What Will the Anniversary Models Offer?

The two special edition models of the minivans from FCA will come with an all-black interior that features Cranberry Wine accent stitching on the seats, steering wheel, door trim, instrument panel bezels, and door handles. There’s also a 35thAnniversary logo on the floor mats along with badges on the grille and liftgate. As minivans that are fairly complete already, these visual upgrades are a strong but subtle way for the brands to celebrate offering us the minivan that we know and love for a long time and many miles of driving.

Availability of the Special Models for Dodge and Chrysler

This visual package is offered for the Chrysler Pacifica in the Touring L, Touring L Plus, and Limited trims including the hybrid models. An optional S package with blacked-out trim can be added to any of the 35th anniversary Pacifica models you choose. The Dodge Grand Caravan SE and SXT models will be available with this visual package to give you the look and style you want. These upgrades certainly show off the more than three decades of excellence that we’ve admired in the minivans from the Chrysler brands.

Get Ready for the Ride from FCA

The original versions of the Chrysler minivan s were the result of the shared vision that came from the k-platform that Lee Iacocca created. The K-based models including the Dodge Omi and Plymouth Horizon helped to create success for Chrysler in the 1980s and that expanded to the minivans that also became a huge success. Now you can celebrate the longevity of this success with the new 35thAnniversary packaging of the Chrysler Pacifica or Dodge Grand Caravan. Take a look at these two models during the Chicago Auto Show this month and get ready when the package becomes available in the summer.
