One of the most unique aspects of choosing the Dodge Charger or Challenger as the car you want to drive is the fact that the car you choose is actually offered in sixteen different unique builds, including the Scat Pack. These aren’t just trim levels and even though each version resembles the rest of the lineup doesn’t mean these models aren’t unique. Dodge has created this way of offering the cars we want to drive to make it interesting and enjoyable for us to find the right model to experience when we’re ready to head out on the road.
Because the Dodge Charger has a large number of models to choose from, seeing what a new model can offer us can be a lot of fun to talk about and explore. Recently, the new 2019 Dodge Charger Scat Pack model was spied out on the road without any camouflage to give us a full look at what this vehicle will be. If you’re looking for a lot of fun on the road with a powerful engine in a sedan that can offer you the ride you want for your family, this can be the right choice for you to have the drive you’re looking for.
What does this New Charger Scat Pack Offer Us?
As this car was spied on the roads without any camouflage, it showed off a pair of new intake vents that are flanked by redesigned LED headlights. These are the same new intakes that were shown in the teaser image of the 2019 Dodge Charger Hellcat that will be offered later in the year. The Charger SRT and the Challenger SRT will both have one final facelift before the next-generation models arrive in 2021 or in 2022 whenever Dodge is able to get these models to market.
We don’t expect the new Charger Scat Pack to feature many mechanical changes, just the visual updates that will be offered when this car hits the market later this year. This means we expect this version of the Charger to have the same 5.7-liter Hemi V8 engine under the hood or the 6.4-liter Hemi V8 that pumps out even more power for the drive. The Hellcat models offered might have a boost in the power offered after learning more about what the engine can do after the run of the Dodge Demon, but don’t expect it to be a huge number increase over the 707 ponies coming out from under the hood.
There are expected to be some interior improvements to the Dodge Charger, but the spy shots weren’t able to capture anything on film to let us see what those would be. FCA has hinted at new trim and upholstery options and an updated version of the Uconnect infotainment system. It appears we will have to wait to see what these updates will be when the new models show up on the dealer lots, but knowing the new Scat Pack is ready to go certainly allows us to get excited about what we’re going to see on the roads soon.
