The Near Future Looks Bright

As the automotive industry has been booming over the past several years, we see some amazing vehicles coming in the future. I’m not talking about the distant future where reality will take over and some of these models won’t be economical to build; instead I’m discussing the next few years when we’ll see more of what we love and advanced technology for the vehicles that we want to drive. The future is certainly bright with the near future giving us more to be excited about as we look to new propulsion systems and autonomous technology in our cars.

Here are several vehicles you’ll love to drive in the next few years:

2018 Tesla Model 3 – As the affordably priced Tesla that will give us the range we want of over 215 miles and compete against the new Chevrolet Bolt, this will be an exciting car to drive. We’ve admired the other Tesla models without the ability to buy them because of price, now we will have a Tesla that any of us can own.

2018 Land Rover Defender – This new model of the Defender promises to bring in the toughness we love of the previous models while adding the design forward style that we want to enjoy. This new Defender will be highly capable and offer the right equipment to make it the high class luxury SUV that can go anywhere and thumb its nose at the Jeep Wrangler.

2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon – The new Demon is reported to be able to reach as much as 800 horsepower from the massive V8 we love from Dodge. This is simply an insane way for Dodge to keep improving the Challenger and we’ll get a full look at it next month at the New York Auto Show. In the meantime continue to enjoy teaser videos like this one.

2019 Toyota Supra – It’s been too long that we’ve had to wait for the return of the Supra, but 2019 will certainly be the year that makes the wait worth it with this new model Designed and developed in conjunction with BMW and the new Z5, the Supra promises to deliver a high performance excitement that you’ll never forget.

2019 Rolls Royce Cullinan – Nearly every automaker has gotten into the game of building an SUV and now that Rolls Royce will bring us this beauty we’re going to have the marquee of the market to compare with. This big beast might finally be the one that can offer more luxury than the lauded Cadillac Escalade, but we won’t know until it shows up on the market.

2019 Jeep Grand Wagoneer – Jeep has been talking about getting back into the high end luxury SUV market, and the Grand Wagoneer will make that happen. This new SUV will be based not on another Jeep, but on the Ram pickup, which will give it the beef we want while it will also have the refined feel and comfort of a high end luxury SUV that we can admire.

2019 Chevrolet Silverado – With their commitment to keeping the Silverado as one of the toughest trucks on the market the newly designed version for 2019 will be a traditional but modern truck. You can still have the brutish V8 and still trust the bed is made of steel, but you may see some of the modern materials we see in other trucks but that will only make this one better.

2019 Jaguar I-Pace – This SUV will mark the first all-electric SUV for Jaguar. As a company that’s done a great job of translating concepts into production, the I-Pace is a vehicle we can certainly be excited about. The new platform can be used for other models as well and this new Jag will give us excellent range and the acceleration we love to have.

2019 Porsche Mission E – As the sports car EV from the name we love the most this will be an extreme car that can reach massive speeds faster than any other. The expected range is nearly 300 miles and the power will reach 600 horsepower. This could be a game changer when it comes to charging with the expectation this car can charge to 80 percent capacity in only 15 minutes.

2019 Mid-Engine Corvette C8 – As the Corvette reaches its eighth generation the long awaited mid-engine model will finally arrive. This is a car that’s built to take on the European competitors and blow away every challenger on the market. This car has been waiting to be built and we’ve looked for it for over a decade. Finally this new Corvette will be a reality.
